More than 111,700 children in England are now educated at home — and the most common reason families give is their child's mental health. Many of you arrived here because school stopped working: the anxiety, the SEND needs that weren't met, the mornings that became a battle.
Home education gives your child the calm and flexibility they needed. But it also puts the whole weight on you — the curriculum, the resources, the exams, and the hardest question of all: if you bring in online help, can you trust who is teaching your child? Most online tuition is completely unregulated.

Academy isn't a worksheet portal or an hour with a tutor. It's a live, timetabled school day — small classes, real teachers, a proper curriculum — that your child joins from home, in a calm space, at a pace that works for them.
Year group, the subjects you want, how they're feeling about learning, and any SEND or EHCP needs. One short form — no school paperwork.
Live lessons each week in small groups, taught by qualified subject teachers using best-in-class pedagogy from the UK, USA and Asia.
They join real classes from home in our virtual classroom — cameras optional, support always on. Every lesson is recorded and reviewed.
Half-termly reports benchmarked to age-related expectations, plus a path to GCSEs and Functional Skills when your child is ready.
“Teachers' subject expertise and their effective use of assessment information ensure that each pupil receives carefully tailored, individualised teaching.”Ofsted · Purple Ruler inspection report, 2025
A real routine and a full curriculum, delivered in a calm, low-pressure way. Cameras are optional and the pace bends to your child, not the other way round.
Built for children who found school overwhelming. A “calm and nurturing online environment” (Ofsted) where teachers rebuild confidence first, then learning.
Ofsted called our support for pupils with SEND “a significant strength”. Teaching is tailored to how your child learns — EHCP, SEND support or no diagnosis at all.
Your child learns alongside other young people in small groups — the social side of school, without the crowded corridors.
Half-termly reports against age-related expectations, plus an after-class check-in every lesson — so you always know how it's going.
When your child is ready, we prepare and enter them for GCSEs and Functional Skills, aligned to the right exam boards.
Every child joins a set weekly timetable — the structure that helps anxious and home-educated learners thrive. You pick the schedule that suits your household (an earlier or later start, a lighter or fuller week); our team sets the exact lesson times within it. Tap a schedule to see a sample week.

No complicated set-up and no jargon. Once your child has a place, everything you need arrives by email, and the first lesson is a single tap away.
Your child's username and password, the Student Handbook, their timetable and start date — all in one place, as soon as they're enrolled.
A friendly note with the login details, how to log in, and a quick overview of what their very first lesson will cover.
One tap to join, sent to both you and your child before every lesson — so nobody ever has to hunt for a link.
One weekly price per child. No registration fee, no hidden extras — and a free one-week trial before you decide. Start with the core subjects and add more whenever you're ready.
Prices are per child, per week. Some families fund a place themselves; others are funded by their local authority — we're happy to talk through either. The core timetable works out at around £9 per hour of live, qualified teaching.
No pressure and no jargon. Tell us a little about your child and we'll be in touch within one working day — or grab a time to talk it through with a real person.

We've got your child's details and we'll be in touch within one working day to talk through the next steps and your free trial week.
Prefer to talk sooner? Book a call ↗You stay the home educator. Academy is a teaching service you choose to bring in — you decide how many subjects and hours. You remain responsible for your child's education in the eyes of the law; we simply deliver the teaching you'd otherwise have to arrange yourself.
Yes. We're registered with the Department for Education (URN 152279) and inspected by Ofsted, who found we meet all the standards for online education. Teachers hold enhanced DBS checks, every lesson is recorded and reviewed, and there's same-day safeguarding escalation. You can read the full published report online.
The core timetable (English, Maths, Science) is £139 a week per child; adding PSHE, PE and Careers is £169 a week; a fully custom timetable is priced on application. Many families fund a place themselves, and some are funded by their local authority — if you think your LA might support a place, tell us on the form or on a call and we'll help.
Very likely yes — it's who Academy was built for. Ofsted singled out our SEND support as “a significant strength,” with “carefully tailored, individualised teaching.” Cameras are optional, classes are small, and teachers focus on rebuilding confidence. Tell us about your child and we'll make sure it's a good fit before you commit.
Yes, when they're ready. We prepare and enter pupils for GCSEs and Functional Skills aligned to the appropriate exam boards, and our half-termly reports track progress towards them along the way.
Lessons are taught live in small groups, so your child learns alongside other young people rather than alone — the social side of a classroom, in a gentler setting. Many families pair Academy with their own home-ed meet-ups and activities.
